Our Volunteer Waitlist Is Now Open!

Join Our Volunteer Waitlist for the Fall/Winter Season!

If you want to be part of our mission to develop the sanctuary and find homes for rescued animals during the ongoing crisis of discarded and stray animals in Texas, we invite you to join us—either virtually or in person.

Here are some ways you can help, starting from the comfort of your home or on your mobile devices. You can join 1 or more of our volunteer teams today.

Virtual Volunteer Team

Become a Virtual Volunteer!

If you’re unable to join us in person, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact from the comfort of your home or on your mobile device.

As a virtual volunteer, you’ll help us connect with communities and expand our outreach in finding homes for animals. You can contribute by sharing engaging content about our sanctuary, animal stories, and fundraising links.

No advanced social media skills required. A smart phone and basic knowledge of sharing content on social media is necessity.

First Responder Team

Become a First Responder!

If you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty, join us on the ground to rescue animals in need. As a first responder, you'll use your own vehicle to pick up abandoned or sick animals.

This role is ideal for individuals who are both patient and quick to act. You’ll be responsible for transporting animals to be scanned for microchips and taking them to a foster home or our shelter.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Proper clothing for hands-on work

3

Foster Care Team

Become a Foster!

Opening your home to animals in immediate need is a wonderful way to significantly impact their healing journey toward safety and health.

The first three days are especially crucial, as this period helps the animals' nervous systems calm amidst many changes. Fostering rescued animals often involves a long-term commitment and ongoing participation to ensure their care needs are met, with the support of our team and veterinarians.

Our rescue will cover all costs related to food, veterinary care, and more. For the best outcomes, we encourage your involvement in helping find a permanent home for the animal, and we ask that they remain in your care until that happens.

4

Fundraising Team

Join Our Fundraising Team!

We don’t just call it fundraising—we call it FUNraising! If you’re a motivated and selfless individual eager to use your positive energy for the greater good, this rewarding role is crucial in helping us secure the funds needed to care for animals around the clock.

Running an animal sanctuary is expensive, and we’re excited to celebrate your efforts through a variety of activities. Not only will these initiatives help us raise the necessary funds to continue our work, but they will also foster a sense of community and support for our organization, making us more eligible for future grants.

5

Animal Transport Team

Become an Animal Transport Volunteer!

Do you have reliable transportation and don’t mind spending time at the vet with animals? Join us as an animal transport volunteer to ensure that rescued dogs and livestock make it to their veterinary appointments on time.

You must have a valid driver’s license and be dependable, as the animals are counting on you to start their necessary treatments or undergo life-saving surgeries.

6

Feed Team

Become a Feed Volunteer!

Everything we do begins with the fundamental task of feeding, starting with strays on the streets. Join our feed team and help us provide nourishment to stray animals or those at our sanctuary.

If time is limited, you can also assist by picking up and dropping off feed from our headquarters, mailbox, grocery, or pet supply stores and delivering it to our shelter.

7

Poop Duty Team

Join Our Poop Duty Team!

This role is perfect for those who are detail-oriented and take pride in cleanliness, as we prioritize power washing and sanitation to eliminate odors and disinfect our enclosures. Responsibilities may also include mucking horse stalls and maintaining the yard.

Clean Team

Join Our Clean Team!

If you find cleaning therapeutic and can’t stand litter and bugs, we’d love to have you on our team! We take pride in picking up trash and debris left behind by our adorable roaming residents, including toys and more.

This role also involves dumping trash, cleaning, and disinfecting food and water bowls, ensuring a healthy environment for our animals.
